Cookie Policy
How this website uses cookies and tracking tools, and how to manage your preferences.

How This Site Uses Cookies
This website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to help it run properly, understand how visitors use the site, and measure the performance of McDowell Building & Construction's marketing. This includes analytics cookies that show which pages are visited and how, advertising cookies such as the Meta pixel that measure the performance of social media campaigns, and tracking used by the business's CRM to connect website enquiries and phone calls back to the marketing that generated them. This page explains what these cookies do and how visitors can manage their preferences.
What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise your browser on a later visit. Similar technologies — local storage, tracking pixels — do the same job in different ways, and this page covers those too.
What This Site Uses
Strictly necessary. This website is a set of static pages. It does not require you to log in, it has no shopping cart, and it does not set a cookie in order to work.
Analytics. Where Google Analytics is active, it records which pages are visited, how people arrive, and roughly where in the world they are. It tells us which pages are useful. It does not tell us who you are.
Advertising. Where Google Ads is active, it records whether a visit that began with an advertisement went on to send an enquiry, so we can tell which advertising is worth running. The Meta pixel does the same for social media campaigns.
Call and enquiry tracking. Our CRM connects an enquiry or a phone call back to the page or advertisement that produced it, so we know what is working.
Managing Your Preferences
Every browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block future ones. The instructions are under Settings, usually as Privacy, Cookies or Site Data.
Blocking cookies on this site will not stop you reading it or sending an enquiry — the site does not need them to work. It will make our analytics less accurate, which mostly affects us rather than you.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across every site you visit using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and adjust advertising personalisation at myadcenter.google.com.

We may update this policy. The current version is always the one on this page.
